Stasė Bielskutė was born on 9th January, 1995 in Alytus, Lithuania. She received her B.Sc. degree in Physics (Computing Physics) at Vilnius University, Faculty of Physics in 2017 with thesis entitled „Research of Water Pockets in Ionic Liquids by NMR Spectroscopy“, where she was studying complex phases formed by the Ionic Liquids and water systems under supervision of Dr. Vytautas Klimavičius and mentorship of Prof. Vytautas Balevičius. During her B.Sc. studies she did +Erasmus practice at SloNMR, where she found herself interested in structural biology and after B.Sc took an opportunity to have a graduate practice at Biomolecular NMR lab, Department of Inorganic and Organic Chemistry, University of Barcelona under supervision of Prof. Miquel Pons. There she focused on disordered regions of Src family tyrosine kinases. Stasė joined SloNMR from 1st February, 2018, where her main research is focused on G-rich DNA regions structural changes under oxidative stress under supervision of Dr. Peter Podbevšek. At the same time she is studying her M.Sc. degree in Physics at Vilnius University, Faculty of Physics (Environmental and Chemical Physics), which she will complete in June 2020.
